Polyphony Digital has released a patch that should partially resolve the release issues of Gran Turismo 7. Among other things, the update increases the rewards players get for completing races and adds new events.

Polyphony Digital implements the changes in update 1.11, which was released on Thursday for the racing game. Players can now expect higher rewards for events in the second half of the World Circuit, among other things, the developer writes. Rewards are also awarded if users complete all circuit layouts with gold or bronze results. In Lobby and Sports modes, rewards have been increased for lobbies and daily races. The update also brings new endurance races and improves the physics in some aspects.

The Japanese game studio Polyphony Digital previously announced that it would make these changes to the game, but did not give a concrete release date for the updates. The company is making the changes in response to criticism from players about the microtransactions in the game, along with cars that cost a lot of credits. In addition, Polyphony Digital later lowered the rewards that races paid out. The company did that after the game’s release. Players therefore complained that they had to grind for a long time to save enough credits for the most expensive cars, if they didn’t want to buy credits with real money.

The studio is now coming back to that with higher rewards. Players can now also keep up to 100 million unpaid credits in their in-game wallet. Previously, that limit was 20 million, although players could save more credits by purchasing them with real money. A second update will follow later, which should make it possible, among other things, to sell cars for credits. It is not known when exactly that will happen, but Polyphony previously promised that this will happen in the short term.
