A new world record for DDR5 memory speeds was set at a G.Skill event. During the Computex fair in Taiwan, a speed of 5620.1MHz was recorded, which translates to 11,240MT/s.

That record was registered to American Seby0123. He won the competition in Taiwan by using liquid nitrogen to cool the strips. An accompanying photo also shows how the ice forms on his system. Furthermore, the overclocker used an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex and an Intel Core i9 13900KS.

Seby used Trident Z5 RGB memory with part number F5-7800J3646H16G. That corresponds to a 7800MT/s kit, but to make the high clock speed possible, the overclocker only installed one module. The timings used were 62-126-126-127-127-2. He has his dates also put into the CPU-Z Validator.

The second place in the rankings is in the name of HiCookie. This Taiwanese overclocker achieved 11,232MT/s with a strip of Gigabyte DDR5 RAM. According to his HWBot entry he used air cooling for the memory; the CPU was LN2 cooled.
