OnePlus shows first teaser of OnePlus Open foldable and confirms release date

OnePlus has shared the first teaser image of its foldable OnePlus Open phone. The manufacturer also confirms that the phone will be released on October 19.

The teaser image, that OnePlus via The Verge, shows half the phone with the alert slider at the bottom. This makes it possible to switch between silent, vibrate and sound modes. The image also confirms the October 19 release date. At 4 p.m. that day, OnePlus’ first foldable will be officially unveiled.

Previously shared WinFuture already that date, including some renders and specifications. The phone would have a 7.8″ OLED display on the inside and a 6.31″ screen on the outside. It is also mentioned that the phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and up to 16GB of Lpddr5X RAM. Furthermore, a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom are mentioned. The OnePlus Open would cost around $1,700 in the US. The manufacturer has not yet confirmed the specifications and price. The OPPO Find N3, exactly the same device as the OnePlus, will be released at approximately the same time for the Asian market.
