First Dead Island 2 expansion Haus will be released in November

Dead Island 2 will get its first story expansion next month. The paid DLC is called Haus and will have a completely new storyline, in which players investigate a cult. The expansion will be released on November 2.

Dead Island 2: Haus will appear upon release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S. The expansion is also coming to PC via the Epic Games Store; Dead Island 2 is currently unavailable on Steam.

According to publisher Deep Silver, Haus offers a ‘surrealistic, psycho-horror dreamscape’. The DLC takes place in a villa. Players there investigate a cult on Malibu. It concerns a ‘techno death cult’ of a billionaire, in which ‘humanity is freed from its moral limitations’. The expansion also offers several new weapons and eight new skill cards.

Haus is the first story expansion of Dead Island 2, a zombie game released in April. The second expansion, called SOLA Festival, will follow in the second quarter. Players who own the Dead Island 2 expansion pass will receive both expansions for free. Otherwise these are individual purchases.
