Nintendo is bringing several new N64 games to its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. The company is bringing first-person shooter GoldenEye 007 to the Switch, including online multiplayer.

Nintendo reports during a Direct presentation that GoldenEye 007 is coming to Switch “soon”, but does not share much further details. The company only confirms that the game will be playable via the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription, with which the company has been making N64 games available for the Switch since last year.

In addition to GoldenEye, eight more N64 games are coming to the handheld console. These include Pilotwings 64, the first three Mario Party games, Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2, 1080º Snowboarding and Excitebike 64. The release dates of these games differ; Nintendo is adding these titles to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription in stages. Some of these eight games will be released this year; the rest will come to Switch in 2023.

Update, 5:27 p.m.: Developer Rare writes on Twitter that GoldenEye 007 will also be available for Xbox consoles. The game will also be part of Xbox Game Pass. The game will get achievements, 4k support and “smoother framerates” on Xbox, in addition to split-screen multiplayer. There is no mention of online multiplayer for the Xbox. Thanks to Sjnieboon.
