According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, next year’s 11-inch iPad Pro will also feature a mini LED display, just like this year’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro. That type of screen allows a higher maximum brightness and facilitates local dimming with greater precision.

This year’s 11-inch iPad Pro still has a “regular” LCD. Ming-Chi Kuo announces the prediction in its latest investor note, which is pending from MacRumors.com. He also expects that the iPad Pros of 2022 will also have glass instead of aluminum backs to facilitate wireless charging. Kuo is often right when it comes to predictions about Apple products.

At the end of last month, South Korean tech website The Elec came out with the rumor that Apple would also be working on an iPad with an OLED screen, which should also be released next year. This would be an unspecified model with a 10.8 “screen. It is likely that the new generation of iPad Air, since Apple has only just switched to miniled for the iPad Pro.

The following year, in 2023, according to The Elec, two more iPads with OLED screens should follow, with diagonals of 11″ and 12.9″. These are the same sizes as the iPad Pro, but whether it will be the Airs or the Pros that will receive OLED screens in that year is not yet clear.
