Microsoft will be previewing Project xCloud, the company’s game streaming service, in October. The test will allow users to stream their Xbox One games to a mobile device.

Microsoft speaks of ‘Console Streaming’ when announcing the preview of the service. This turns the Xbox One into “your own personal console server,” according to the company. Users can stream games from their Xbox One library, including Xbox Game Pass, to mobile devices.

The test is part of Project xCloud, for which Microsoft has placed Xbox hardware in its data centers to enable streaming of all Xbox games. Microsoft is giving attendees the opportunity to play Halo 5: Guardians and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice streaming on smartphones and tablets at the E3 games show in Los Angeles.
