Microsoft to charge $7 per user for Windows 10 Enterprise E3

Microsoft has announced the monthly price for Windows 10 Enterprise E3. The company charges $7 per month per user for the software. It is not yet known what Windows 10 Enterprise E5 will cost.

Microsoft announced the monthly award at its Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto. Partners will be able to sell subscriptions to Windows 10 Enterprise E3 starting in the fall through the Cloud Solution Provider channel. Businesses gain access to subscriptions through a partner portal, enabling per-user, single-contact support, and bill-based management. Microsoft hopes to make management easier in this way.

It is not yet known what the monthly price of Windows 10 Enterprise E5 will be. This is the subscription to the Windows version including an extra layer of protection, the Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection. The Windows Enterprise versions are also available as bundles including Office 365 E3 Enterprise Mobility + Security E3 under the name “Secure Productive Enterprise”.

Finally, Microsoft announced that Cloud Solution Providers can offer Surface devices as a service to resellers and customers. With ‘Surface as a Service’, companies can lease Surface devices, enabling them to move to new generations of the hardware faster and always be assured of the latest software.
