Microsoft is also considering releasing the upcoming game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Sony’s PlayStation 5 console. The game would initially only be released for Xbox consoles and after a ‘fairly short period’ would also be released on the PS5.

The Verge reports based on an insider that Microsoft is considering several games whether it will be an Xbox exclusive or whether the game will also appear on the PS5 or Nintendo Switch at a later time. In addition to the upcoming Indiana Jones game, there are a few rumors about the arrival of the already released titles Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Starfield to other platforms.

FTC hearings revealed that Microsoft initially planned to release Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for multiple console platforms. However, after the takeover of Bethesda by Microsoft, it was decided to release all Bethesda games exclusively on Xbox consoles.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is scheduled for release in December 2024 for Xbox consoles and PC. It’s not clear when the game would come to the PS5, as Microsoft has reportedly not yet finalized its multiplatform approach. The future Indiana Jones game, which was announced back in 2021, will be developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda.
