In an update to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console, the company is giving users 2GB of cloud storage. They can use that to save save games that can then be used on the Xbox One, provided the game in question falls under backwards compatibility.

Larry Hyrb, head of Xbox Live, announced the news on his website MajorNelson.com. For convenience, the Xbox 360 interface now indicates in the library and marketplace when a game can also be played on the Xbox One.

During E3 2015, Microsoft announced that the Xbox One will also be able to play Xbox 360 games in the future. Shortly afterwards, however, it was stated that games that use USB accessories such as the Kinect are excluded, because the emulation works at the software level and not at the hardware level. At the moment, the backwards compatibility feature is only available to a select group of participants in Microsoft’s Preview program. Before the end of the year, everyone should be able to play Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One.

Furthermore, Hyrb is announcing that the Xbox 360 can now connect to networks where users must first accept a set of conditions. Such connections are common in public places such as hospitals and hotels.

An Activity Feed has also been introduced. There, users can see at a glance what their Xbox Live friends like, what they’re commenting on, and what they’re playing. Friends’ activities in Windows 10 and on Xbox One can now also be seen on Xbox 360.

Finally, users can now see their Microsoft account balance when they are in the Marketplace, they can now access their movies, TV series and music from Microsoft Movies & TV and Groove Music on the console, and Xbox Live Marketplace codes are easier to access. cash in.
