Lenovo has announced its first smartphone with Windows 10 Mobile. The device is only available from the Japanese provider Softbank and has support for Continuum, the system in Windows 10 Mobile to use a phone as a desktop.

Lenovo has provided the phone with a Snapdragon 617-soc, the cheapest processor that Continuum supports. The phone has a 5″ screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, Microsoft writes. Continuum allows users to connect the phone to a screen, keyboard and mouse and use the system as a desktop.

The device measures 14.2 x 7.1 cm and weighs 144 grams. The device has an eight-megapixel camera on the back and a front camera with a maximum resolution of five megapixels. The battery has a capacity of 2250mAh.

Lenovo made the phone for the Japanese provider Softbank. It is the first time that the Chinese company, which also releases phones under the Motorola brand, makes a Windows 10 Mobile phone. It is unknown whether Lenovo will also release models with Microsoft’s mobile operating system in Europe.
