Huawei also launches Honor 5C in Europe

Huawei also releases the Honor 5C in Europe. The phone is initially only available through sales channels in the United Kingdom, but sales outlets elsewhere will follow soon, Huawei reports by email.

The Huawei Honor 5C has a 5.2″ IPS screen with 1920×1080 pixels and runs on a Kirin 650-soc with eight cores baked at 16nm. The chip has four so-called ‘high performance’ cores that run at a maximum of 2GHz. and four with a maximum clock frequency of 1.7GHz.

The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The latter can be expanded by up to 128GB with a micro SD card in the second SIM slot. The device has a 13-megapixel camera with flash on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The fingerprint scanner that is on the Chinese version is missing in the one for Europe.

The whole is in an aluminum housing of 147.1×73.8×8.3mm and weighs 156 grams, together with a non-removable battery of 3000mAh. The phone uses Android 6.0 as its operating system.

The smartphone can be ordered directly from the British Huawei store. It is unknown whether the phone will be delivered immediately. The Honor 5C is available in silver, gold and dark gray for 199 euros.
