HP Introduces 2-in-1 with Stylus Pro x2 612 G2

HP has added a 2-in-1 device for the business market to its range. The passively cooled HP Pro X2 612 G2 consists of a tablet with stand, which is optionally supplied with a stylus and keyboard. The tablet is easy to open for maintenance.

The HP Pro X2 612 G2 is the successor to the Pro X 2 612 G1 from 2014 and contains a number of improvements compared to that model. For example, the tablet part now has a fold-out stand so that it can be placed upright. In addition, the model meets the MIL-STD 810G test specifications, which gives some indication that the system is resistant to impact, water and dust. The back is removable, which should make maintenance and management easy.

The 12″ Pro X2 612 G2 has a resolution of 1920×1280 pixels and a touchscreen with reinforced Gorilla Glass 4. HP offers several options regarding the processor, from the Pentium 4410Y to the Core i7-7Y75. The cooling is passive. Furthermore. up to 8GB lpddr3 can be integrated and the 2-in-1 can be equipped with m2 SATA or PCI-e SSDs with a maximum storage capacity of 512GB.

By default, the PC contains USB 3.1-c, USB 3.0, a microSD reader, a SIM card holder and a smart card reader. The backlit keyboard and HP Active Pen are optional. The weight is 0.85 kg without and 1.2 kg with keyboard. The 2-in-1 has since appeared in the Pricewatch, for prices starting at just over 1200 euros for the version with Pentium chip.
