Google has acknowledged that there are problems with bluetooth on the smart Home speaker. Users have complained about being unable to hold the connection, and Google now says it’s working on a fix.

Users of the Google Home have been complaining about a faltering bluetooth connection on the support forum for more than a year. This leads, among other things, to the connection being randomly disconnected at times when the user is playing music via his or her smartphone. This happens every few minutes for some users.

A Google employee has now posted a response on the same support forum in which he indicates that he is aware of the problems surrounding bluetooth on the Home speaker, Android Police discovered. Users are asked to submit feedback via voice commands if they experience bluetooth issues. The employee asks to send in the feedback “GHT3 Bluetooth IN keeps on disconnect”.

A team within Google is investigating a fix for the bluetooth problems. However, more details are not yet available, so it is unknown when a software update will appear.
