Firmware Update: Western Digital My Book World Edition (II) 01.00.28

Western Digital has for its My Book World Edition and My Book World Edition II nas products released new firmware with 01.00.28 as the version number. To apply this update, use the available WD Discovery Tool where you can automatically download new firmware in advanced mode. The list of customizations looks like this:

New Features:

• Added support for Apple Time Machine function
• Enabled email alerts to identify specific device name (Applicable for Windows XP only)
• Improved read and write performance of NTFS formatted USB drive through Copy Manager
• Created new folder path in Copy Manager
• Added support for HFP+J write to USB drive through Copy Manager
• Enabled status screen in the Network Storage Manager to display remaining capacity

Resolved Issues:
