AVM has released new firmware for its AVM Fritz!box Fon Wlan 7390. The 7390 is a vdsl 2 modem, gigabit router, access point up to and including 802.11n and dect base station for up to six handsets in one. The device also has two USB connections, with which a printer or external storage capacity can be shared on the network. You can always revert to the original firmware, so make sure you have a backup. Updating the firmware can be done from the user interface yourself, but you can also download it separately. The new firmware includes Fritz!OS 6.52 and brings the following improvements:

Internet:

  • Improved: Wireless LAN stability for using Entertain

telephone:

  • Resolved: MWI disabled for VoIP provider “Telekom” and “Other providers” after editing

Home network:

  • Resolved: Fixed assignment of the same IPv4 address lost on restart

smart home:

  • Improved stability

System:

  • Improved: Stability, eliminated possibility of continual reboots in special application scenarios
  • Changed: Update with a FRITZ!OS file is permitted only with the latest version of FRITZ!OS
