Firmware update: AVM Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7170 58.04.78 / 29.04.78

The developers of AVM have released new firmware for the Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7170 router with the version number 58.04.78 for the Annex A edition and 29.04.78 for the Annex B edition. This improves a number of points such as manually setting PVC settings via the web interface. The included list of changes looks like this:

Changes in 58.04.78 / 29.04.78:

• DSL: optimized behavior in case of transmission errors. On certain lines this now triggers a DSL reconnect to avoid an invalid state
• Telephony: removed area code configuration for countries that no longer have area-codes
• Internet: fixed a bug in the webinterface, that prevented manual PVC configuration for one provider
