Firmware Update: Asrock K7S8X 2.4

Asrock has a new BIOS for the K7S8X motherboard in the form of version 2.4 released† The update is from here download and comes with four improvements over the previous release. After flashing the BIOS, the motherboard is able to recognize AMD’s Sempron 2500+, 2600+ and 2800+ and the board handles ATi Radeon 9800SE video cards slightly better. The full changelog looks like this:

1. Support AMD Sempron CPU 2500+, 2600+, and 2800+.
2. If Aopen 16X DVD-ROM or Combo DVD-ROM is connected with HDD on same IDE channel, system should login to
Windows XP correctly.
3. RAM Flexibility option was added.
4. Fine tuned ATi 9800SE AGP cards.[break]
