Facebook will start rolling out Live Video for Android next week

Facebook is going to give Android users access to the Live Video service, which it recently released for iOS, starting next week. Live Video for Android will be released first in the United States, but other countries should follow shortly after.

The company behind the social networking site made this known in a message on its website. Starting next week, users of the Facebook application on Android will receive a button with which a live video broadcast can be started. Users can choose who can follow the live video, so that, for example, all Facebook friends do not necessarily have to be given access.

Incidentally, the rollout is only for American users for the time being, although Facebook promises to give Android users elsewhere in the world access as well. Other countries should follow shortly after the US release, but many details are still missing. For example, it is not clear exactly how long it will take and which countries it concerns.

Last month, Facebook already released the Live Video service for iOS, and the feature can already be used in a large number of different countries. Incidentally, this is still a limited rollout, so not everyone has access to the feature.
