Eminent comes with home automation starter package

Eminent has introduced the e-Domotica Starter Kit for home users. The package includes a wireless security camera, an energy meter, a motion detector and a central touchscreen controller.

The e-Domotica Starter Kit, which has a suggested retail price of 998 euros, offers, according to Eminent, a solid basis for using home automation. For example, it contains products for protecting a home in the form of two EM6550 switches for switching lamps and equipment on and off, the EM6581 motion detector and the EM6561 wireless security camera. The package also contains the EM6601 energy meter, which means that the package should also give the user more insight into his energy consumption.

The various home automation components can be controlled via the EM6505 Touchscreen e-Centre. The home automation hardware communicates via the Z-Wave protocol, while some of the equipment can also communicate via WiFi and Ethernet. Furthermore, Eminent offers the buyer of the starter package 3 months of free ‘extra services’ worth 30 euros. This includes 10 alarm notifications via telephone or SMS, callback support and the option to save or review camera images after an alarm.
