The former EA Access plan will be available on Steam on August 31. Renamed EA Play, the subscription offers the ability to play a number of existing EA titles and gives players the option to try out new releases for ten hours.

Only EA Play will be available on Steam. The more extensive and more expensive subscription called EA Play Pro is not coming to Steam, the website PCGamesN has been told by an employee of Electronic Arts. EA Play Pro is only available on EA’s own Origin platform on PC, previously called Origin Access Premier.

EA Play costs 4 euros per month or 25 euros per year and gives subscribers the opportunity to play a number of already released games, in addition to the option to try new games for ten hours. Subscribers also receive a 10 percent discount on digital purchases from EA. Via EA Play on Steam, subscribers can play Titanfall 2, Need for Speed Heat Deluxe Edtion, Battlefront II, Battlefield V, and The Sims 4, among others. In total, the playable collection amounts to about thirty games. EA Play Pro costs 15 euros per month or 100 euros per year. To this end, customers will receive early access to deluxe versions of games to be released, up to ten days before the release.

The EA Play subscription was already available on PC through Origin, and on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Steam will be added in two weeks. It is not possible to take out the subscription once and use it on the different platforms. For example, if a player wants to play Titanfall 2 or Battlefront 2 via Steam and on the XBox One, a subscription must be taken out twice.
