Discord reports that data from 180 users was stolen in the data breach earlier this year. The chat platform has started informing those affected by email.

That appears from a document filed with the Attorney General of the US state of Maine, it writes BleepingComputer. The data breach took place in March this year and was recognized a few months later. A malicious hacker managed to access the customer data of 180 users via the account of a third-party service employee. Presumably, only data from users who created a service ticket was captured. This incident has nothing to do with a large-scale data breach at the non-Discord-affiliated invitation service Discord.io earlier this month. The data of approximately 760,000 users was stolen.
