Corsair has announced the MP600 PRO XT, a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with M.2 form factor, available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB storage capacities. Hydro X editions with liquid cooling are also appearing.

Corsair has built the MP600 PRO XT SSDs around stacked TLC NAND memory, equipped with a PCIe X4 interface and released it in an M.2 2280 form factor. The manufacturer mentions sequential read and write speeds of 7100MB/s and 6800MB/s respectively, but does not specify the differences in speeds for the 1TB, 2TB and 4TB variants.

For random read and write, Corsair reports successively 1 million iops and 1.2 million iops, which the company measured itself in IOMeter’s QD32 test. The dimensions of the SSDs are 80x23x19mm and in terms of lifespan, the claim is that the endurance is 3000TBW. The speeds and especially the amount of total bytes written are therefore higher than with the non-XT versions of the MP600 Pro. According to Kitguru’s review, the XT variants have Micron’s 176-layer TLC nand and a Phison PS5018-E18 controller. The regular MP600 Pro has to make do with 96-layer TLC nand from Micron, but has the same controller.

Corsair further reports that the SSDs can be combined with its separately available Hydro X Series XM2 blocks based on liquid cooling, but the manufacturer also supplies the SSDs ready-made with that cooling in the form of the Corsair MP600 PRO XT Hydro X Edition, which is available in 2TB and 4TB.

The regular MP600 PRO XT with 1TB, 2TB and 4TB come on the market for suggested retail prices of 220, 440 and 1080 euros successively.
