CD Projekt Red releases Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update on September 21

Before the Phantom Liberty expansion is released on September 26, CD Projekt Red will release a free 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 on September 21. The patch adds new skill trees and perks, among other things. There will also be a new police system and vehicle combat will change.

CD Projekt Red raises 21st of September including one Heat system to Cyberpunk 2077, which is very similar to that of the Grand Theft Auto games. Players can now use stars to see how likely it is that the authorities will come after them. Players who reach a five-star Heat level will encounter a Max Tac mini-boss.

In addition, it becomes possible to take out enemies from a vehicle. Players can fire pistols and machine guns from motorcycles and through the windshields and side windows of cars. Netrunners can also hack, take over and explode opponents’ cars. The developer is also bringing several UI and UX improvements to Cyberpunk 2077. Furthermore, CD Projekt Red is adding new loot, crafting options and radio stations to the game.

CD Project Red previously shared on the social medium X an overview of the upcoming changes in the 2.0 update and the paid Phantom Liberty expansion. The expansion, which will be released on September 26, adds a new district and a new storyline in addition to new items and rocket launchers. In addition, the level cap will be increased to 60. Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty DLC are coming to PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The main game is also available on last-gen consoles.
