Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios has reportedly been delayed to next year. Why publisher Warner Bros. the game moves to 2023, is unknown.

Warner Bros. originally said the Suicide Squad game would be released in 2022, though it hadn’t revealed an exact release date. People involved in the game’s development are telling Bloomberg that it will now be released next year, but won’t say why. Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed this.

Last year, the publisher was supposed to release several games, which have been postponed to this year for various reasons. One such game is Gotham Knights, which was created by Batman Arkham: Origins creator WB Games Montreal. The studio stated at the time that it “gives the game more time” to provide “the best possible experience” to players. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was originally slated to be released in 2021, but will now be released on April 5, 2022.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was announced in August 2020. It is an open-world third-person shooter that can be played alone or in co-op in teams of up to four players. You play as a group of DC Comics anti-heroes, including Harley Quinn and King Shark. The Suicide Squad has been tasked with destroying the Justice League’s brainwashed superheroes, such as Superman. The game will be available on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and X.
