Apple has released iOS 13.2.2 and iPadOS‌ 13.2.2. The operating system update is supposed to end the problem of apps running in the background closing unexpectedly.

The iOS and iPadOS 13.2.2 updates revolve around bug fixes, especially the issue with the closing apps. Many users have recently complained about this problem with the aggressive ram management when multitasking. This issue caused background apps to restart causing users to lose, for example, videos, browser tabs, and other open content.

On the iPhone, the fix also addresses an issue where the network connection was lost after a call. In addition, 13.2.2 improves the sending of messages encrypted with s/mime via Exchange accounts: replies could previously arrive unreadable.

The first beta of iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 was already released to developers earlier this week. It lets users set communication limits in Screen Time and provides a toggle to enable or disable Animoji and Memoji stickers on the emoji keyboard.
