Android 12 version of PlayStation Remote Play supports PS5 controller

The Android 12 version of Sony’s PlayStation Remote Play Android app supports the DualSense controller with an update. In addition, the app supports more functions of the DualShock 4 controller, such as the touchpad and the vibration functions.

The PlayStation Remote Play app update adds support for the PlayStation 5 controller DualSense, writes PlayStation on Twitter. In addition, the app now supports the touchpad, motion sensor, vibration motors and battery indicator of the DualShock 4 controller for the PlayStation 4.

The app already supports the DualShock 4 on Android 10 and higher via Bluetooth, but the new functions and the DualSense can only be used for Android 12. Sony does not indicate why this is so. On iOS, the DualSense since May to use.

The PlayStation Remote Play app allows users to stream PlayStation games from a PlayStation console to other PCs, smartphones and other consoles. These games can be played on smartphones with on-screen controls, or by connecting a controller via Bluetooth. On PC, the games can only be played with PS controllers.
