AMD has added a feature to its Radeon software that allows users to play games from their mobile device to their home PC via any internet connection. Until now, streaming was limited to its own Wi-Fi network.

The update for AMD Link is included in the Adrenalin 2020 update that was released on Wednesday, the company reports. Streaming games does require an app for iOS or Android. Those apps will be released within two weeks, the company promises. Streaming games was already possible on your own WiFi network, but not outside it. The Adrenalin 2020 software came out on Wednesday for hardware maker graphics cards.

As it turned out from pages put online too early, Adrenalin 2020 also contains Radeon Boost, a technique to dynamically adjust the resolution while playing a game. That should improve the performance of the hardware in games without users noticing much.

Radeon Boost isn’t the only new feature Adrenalin 2020 is adding. The software also supports integer scaling. That’s a method that improves low-resolution games or pixel art. In addition, there are updates to Image Sharpening and Anti-Lag.
