The zombie PC MMO The Day Before has been delayed by nine months to November 10. A person allegedly applied for a trademark on the game’s name shortly after the game’s initial announcement and “complained” to the company earlier this month.

Developer Fntastic says that it was not aware of the trademark applied for and says the company found out about it on Jan. 19, when the person contacted Fntastic. It is not clear what the person wants. However, the trademark issue has taken the game’s Steam page offline, according to the developer at the request of the complainant. Why Fntastic itself had not previously applied for a trademark on the name of its game, before the announcement in January 2021, is not clear.

The Day Before is a third-person game according to PCGamer was the second most wanted game on Steam. The game should have been released on March 1, although not much was known about the game yet. Fntastic said it plans to show gameplay from the game this month, something delayed by the trademark claim.
