YouTube partners will have the option to place non-skippable ads in their videos. Creators who already have the opportunity to monetize ads will get this option.

The ability to post non-skippable ads was disclosed by YouTube in a video explaining what this ad format will look like. It will be possible for YouTubers who can already place ads in their videos to convert them into a non-skippable form; now these YouTube partner program participants can only post skippable ads, and the ability to post non-skippable ads was limited to certain video channels selected by YouTube.

Non-skippable ads are limited to 15 to 20 seconds in length, depending on the user’s location. Previously, the limit was 30 seconds, but YouTube has now lowered it. After the introduction, creators will be given the option to bulk convert the ads they have already placed in their videos to a format that cannot be skipped.

Starting next week it should be possible for all Creators to place non-skippable ads. They will be notified as soon as the functionality is available.
