Xiaomi announces Redmi Note 9 Pro Max with 5020mAh battery

Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max in India. It concerns two cheaper models with a large screen and a 5020mAh battery. The phones run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G soc.

The phones both have an LCD of 15.4x7cm, a screen of 2400×1080 pixels with a ratio of 20:9 and a diagonal of 6.67″. There is a hole in the screen with the front camera behind it. The cameras can be found on the back. The 8nm Snapdragon 720G-soc is assisted by, depending on the variant, 4, 6 or 8GB of lpddr4x memory and 64 or 128GB of UFS storage.The phones measure 165.7×76.7×8.8mm and weigh 209 grams.

The Pro and Pro Max differ in several respects. For example, the Max has a 64-megapixel camera as the primary camera, while the Pro has to make do with a 48-megapixel sensor. The front camera of the Max also has more pixels: 32 megapixels instead of 16 megapixels. In addition, the Max can charge faster at 33W, while the Pro charges at 18W.

The phones will be released immediately in India, but nothing has been announced about a release elsewhere. The cheapest version is available for converted currently just under 160 euros. The Max version costs about 180 euros in the cheapest configuration. Nothing is known about a release in Europe.
