Foxconn: Factory deliveries have resumed

Deliveries to Foxconn factories in China and Taiwan have resumed and the pace at which factory operations are resuming “exceeds expectations,” said Foxconn founder Terry Gou.

Now that deliveries to factories have returned to normal, Gou believes production can return to normal in the near future, Reuters writes. Many Foxconn locations and suppliers of the company are located in China, so production was difficult in February due to the outbreak of the new corona virus.

Gou does say consumer demand for electronics may decline in the coming months, especially in the United States. “The fact that consumers spend money is the key to economic recovery,” said the CEO of the manufacturer.

He is also concerned about the prices of, among other things, dram that are rising again and that there is a shortage of screens. He did not mention which devices have too few screens. The Taiwanese company produces electronics for many large companies.
