Windows 365 Cloud PC for companies costs 18 to 148 euros per month

Microsoft has started offering Windows 365 subscriptions for cloud PCs. Depending on the configuration, this costs a minimum of 18.20 euros per month per user and a maximum of 147.50 euros. There are also limitations or charges for data traffic.

With the making the new cloud service available Microsoft has also revealed all the details. Companies with up to 300 employees can take out a Business subscription and then pay a minimum of 21.90 euros per month per user. If users already have a Windows 10 Pro licensed PC, monthly costs are up to 16 percent lower. The cheapest cloud PC has one CPU core, 2GB of ram and 64GB of storage space. The most expensive configuration, of 147.50 euros per month, includes eight cores, 32GB of ram and 512GB of storage. The prices are exclusive of VAT.

Enterprise plans for larger companies are a bit cheaper. The prices there vary from 18.20 euros per month to 143.50 euros per month, for the same configurations. With the subscriptions for large companies, the outgoing data traffic is settled on the basis of the pricing for Azure bandwidth.

Data limit with Business plan

With the Business plans there are limitations on the outgoing data per month, writes Microsoft in a faq. The cheapest configuration is 12GB per month and that goes up to 70GB per month with the most expensive cloud PC. The limit is linked to the number of CPU cores. Microsoft states that “server-like uses” such as hosting websites and streaming content are “not included.”

Microsoft has published documentation about Windows 365 Business and Windows 365 Enterprise for companies that want to get started with it. Microsoft has also put a new video online about managing the cloud PCs.

In mid-July, Microsoft announced its Windows 365 cloud subscription. The service provides companies with cloud PCs that always run the latest Windows version. Users can access their Windows system from an application or in a browser. You can do this from a PC, tablet or Android device. Windows 365 is not available to consumers.
