Windows 365 Cloud PC for businesses costs 18 to 148 euros per month

Microsoft has started offering Windows 365 plans for cloud PCs. Depending on the configuration, this costs a minimum of EUR 18.20 per month per user and a maximum of EUR 147.50. There are also restrictions or costs for data traffic.

With the release of the new cloud service, Microsoft has also revealed all the details. Companies up to 300 employees can take out a Business subscription and pay a minimum of 21.90 euros per month per user. If users already have a Windows 10 Pro licensed PC, the monthly cost is up to 16 percent lower. The cheapest cloud PC has one CPU core, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The most expensive configuration, at 147.50 euros per month, consists of eight cores, 32GB of ram and 512GB of storage. The prices are exclusive of VAT.

Enterprise plans for larger companies are a bit cheaper. The prices there vary from 18.20 euros per month to 143.50 euros per month, for the same configurations. For large business plans, outbound traffic is charged based on Azure bandwidth pricing.

Data limit with Business plan

With the Business subscriptions there are restrictions on the outgoing data per month, Microsoft writes in a faq. The cheapest configuration is 12GB per month and that goes up to 70GB per month with the most expensive cloud PC. The limit is linked to the number of CPU cores. Microsoft states that “server-like uses” such as hosting websites and streaming content are “not included.”

Microsoft has published documentation on Windows 365 Business and Windows 365 Enterprise for companies that want to get started. Microsoft has also put a new video online about managing the cloud PCs.

In mid-July, Microsoft announced its Windows 365 cloud subscription. The service provides companies with cloud PCs that always run the latest Windows version. Users can access their Windows system from an application or in a browser. This can be done from a PC, tablet, or Android device. Windows 365 is not available to consumers.
