Vacancy Points To Multiplayer Mode For Splinter Cell VR

Ubisoft is working on a multiplayer option for Splinter Cell VR. This is apparent from a vacancy that the publisher has put online. Ubisoft is looking for someone to lead the team that will be working on it.

A vacancy from Ubisoft points to a position at the German office in Düsseldorf. There, the developer is looking for a Project Owner & Senior Multiplayer Lead Game Designer, who will be responsible for the multiplayer content of the game. “We are working on a brand new team to work on Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell VR project,” the job posting reads.

Details about the new game are not in the job posting. Ubisoft announced in September that virtual reality versions of Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed are coming. Nothing is known about those games yet, except that they will be made for ‘Oculus VR’. It is not known which Oculus headset that is. The vacancy asks for a developer who can make games for PC as well as for consoles and mobile, although that is mainly ‘desirable’ and not mandatory for the latter two categories.
