Ubisoft has had several games removed from sale at Steam, including Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, Space Junkies and Silent Hunter 5. The titles mentioned can also no longer be played via Steam from September 1.

On the Steam pages of space junkies and Silent Hunter 5 reads that they are no longer for sale. In addition, the games will no longer be accessible from September. Ubisoft previously reported that the online services of certain games will no longer be available later this year, like Far Cry 3 and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. These have now been provided with a warning. Far Cry 3 and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will remain available after September 1.

What is striking about Far Cry 3 is that the Deluxe edition is still for sale through Ubisoft’s own store. This version includes DLC, while Far Cry 3 is on the list of games whose “installation and access to DLC will be unavailable from September.” The game’s Deluxe Bundle DLC is no longer available through Steam. It is not clear whether the multiplayer mode of the PC version will also be removed in two months.

Ubisoft announced at the beginning of this month that it will make the online services of fifteen games inaccessible on September 1. These are mostly older titles for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Seven PC titles also lose all their DLC, even if it has already been purchased. The company wants to “focus on delivering great experiences for players playing newer or more popular titles.” Ubisoft keeps one overview of closed online services in games. The games from the list can be downloaded and played via Ubisoft Connect.
