Ubisoft has discovered one of the issues that causes Assassin’s Creed Unity to crash in some players. The so-called game contacts would be the cause. The developer is looking for a definitive solution to the bug, but a workaround is already available for the time being.

Some players are complaining about a bug in Assassin’s Creed Unity that causes the game to crash. That would happen after pressing the continue button in the main menu. All platforms suffer from the problem, according to Ubisoft. A definitive solution is not yet available, but the developer has found a workaround. Due to possible crashes, all players are advised not to add any game contacts for the time being.

If a list has already been built up, Ubisoft recommends removing it. An overview of the contacts can be found via the My Brotherhood menu. Some players complete the developer with their message. Once the game has started, the internet connection should be disconnected. Only then can some players press continue, after which a navigation menu appears. Allegedly, the gamer can then restore the connection and delete the contacts. This method would mainly apply if Assassin’s Creed Unity has already crashed.

In the comments, some players report that the tips work, but others are less fortunate. Ubisoft claims to come up with a patch soon that should ‘drasically’ improve the gaming experience. It is unclear whether the much-discussed framerate problems will be resolved.
