The Pokémon Company announces Pokémon Sleep, a mobile game that analyzes users’ sleep habits. The company is also coming with a sequel to Detective Pikachu for the Nintendo Switch and Pokémon Home.

Not much is known about Pokémon Sleep, except that the app will be released in 2020 and will analyze and track users’ sleeping habits. The Pokémon Company also says that the intent of the app is to reward users for the time they sleep, after which they have “a good reason to get up in the morning”. There will be special hardware for Pokémon Sleep, the Pokemon Go Plus+. It works similar to the Pokemon Go Plus, but thanks to its accelerometer, it can track sleep data at night and transmit it to a paired smartphone via Bluetooth.

Pokémon Masters is expected to release in the fall for iOS and Android and will include battles not only against other players but also against gym leaders and trainers. The game is being made in collaboration with DeNa, the developer behind Super Mario Run.

There will also be a sequel to the 3DS version of Detective Pikachu. The sequel comes out for Nintendo Switch and will answer the questions posed by the original. It is not yet known when the game will be released.

Pokémon Home was also announced. Pokémon Home is an internet service that allows players to interact with each other regardless of platform. Users can then trade Pokémon between different games or with other players. In addition, Pokémon Centers are opening in Tokyo and Singapore.
