The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 16. The new game is a remaster of the original game that was released for the Nintendo Wii in November 2011.

The original game made extensive use of the Wii’s motion controls, and Nintendo is trying to emulate that in an improved way with the Switch console’s Joy-Cons. The two Joy-Cons actually become the shield and sword. Swinging the right Joy-Con allows players to strike with their sword and the other can be used to fend off attacks with the shield. Physical movements can also be used for throwing bombs, shooting arrows, and using tools and other objects.

For players using the Switch Lite, who don’t have Joy-Con controllers, or don’t want to use the motion detection, Nintendo has also incorporated the controls into the physical buttons. For example, the joystick on the right can be used for all kinds of different sword movements.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is not the first remaster of a Zelda game. For the Wii U, HD remasters have already been released for The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will cost $60 and a special game-style Joy-Con controller set will also be available from July 16.
