Tamron teaser teaser of four upcoming lenses for Sony mirrorless cameras

Tamron comes with four new lenses for Sony E-mount cameras. This is apparent from a teaser video that the manufacturer has put online. It seems to be a telephoto zoom and three lenses with a fixed focal length.

The video shows the contours of four lenses and they are placed next to the already existing 17-28 mm f/2.8 and 28-75 mm f/2.8. Those Tamron lenses are made for Sony FE-mount cameras such as the A7 and A9 series models.

The largest example is almost certainly a telephoto zoom. This is apparent from the dimensions and a zoom ring is also visible. It could be a 70-200mm lens, in addition to the two existing zooms. However, the lens seems too small to combine that zoom range with an aperture of f/2.8.

The other three lenses are presumably fixed focal length primes. Tamron currently does not have it in its range for Sony’s full-frame system cameras. It is not yet clear when the four lenses will be announced. Rumor site SonyAlphaRumors claims that they will be on display for the first time during the PhotoPlus show in October.
