System76 announces Linux laptop with Ryzen 4000U
System76 announces the Pangolin, a 15.6 “laptop that the company traditionally equips with a Linux distro and comes with a choice of a Ryzen 5 4500U hexacore or a Ryzen 7 4700U octacore.
System76 has added the Pangolin to its range and reports that the price of the 15.6 “laptop is $ 849, converted and VAT included, Euro 846. Buyers will get a model with a Ryzen 5 4500U for that money. still unknown, pay extra, can purchase a variant with Ryzen 7 4700U.
The company does announce the specifications, but does not mention, among other things, when the delivery will start. System76 provides the laptop with its own Pop! _OS distribution based on Ubuntu or Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
It is not the first time that System76 goes for, as it says, ‘Team Red’ with its laptops. Earlier this year, for example, the company already announced the Serval WS with Ryzen 3000 chips.
