The still unannounced successor to Nokia’s 1520 phone would be equipped with Kinect technology. Neowin reports this on Monday based on unknown sources. The technology allows a user to control their smartphone without having to touch it.

Not much is known about the unannounced successor. However, like the 1520, it would have a screen with a diagonal of 6 ”. According to Neowin, it would also be possible that the smartphone will appear on the market this year. The 3D technology is called 3D Touch or Real Motion and was originally developed by Nokia. It gives users the ability, among other things, to swipe away notifications while their hand is not touching the screen and to record phone calls just by holding the phone to their ear.

In a roadmap from Microsoft that appeared online this year, the company revealed that it will launch at least one phone with the 3D technology this year. That roadmap also included a smartphone codenamed McLaren; a smartphone that also has 3D Touch. According to Neowin, McLaren will be a smartphone with a 5.2” display and a 20-megapixel camera.

In addition, it would have 64GB of storage and, according to some rumors, have a resolution of 2560×1140 pixels; however, Neowin’s sources keep it at 1920×1080 pixels. The roadmap showed that the McLaren model should appear on the American market this year.
