Spotify will create personalized playlists with new singles every week

Spotify has added a new feature it calls Release Radar. The feature should make it easier to keep up to date with new music from favorite artists. The playlist is automatically compiled weekly using algorithms.

The feature will be available on both the mobile and desktop apps starting Friday, August 5. Release Radar is refreshed every Friday with approximately two hours of new music. The service is composed of new music from artists that the user follows and listens to most.

It is not only new releases that Release Radar shows, but also recommended music based on the user’s listening behavior. In this it is different from Discover, which does not necessarily collect new music.

Release Radar is not a separate function in Spotify, but a playlist. Spotify synchronizes the playlist across all devices, so that it can be played anywhere.
