Audio streaming service Spotify is releasing a redesign of its TV app with some new features that were previously added to the mobile and desktop versions. With this update, the TV interface is more similar to that of the other versions.

Shortcuts to favorites, recently played audio and personal recommendations have now been added to the homepage, let Spotify know. On the right side of the screen, users can see a list of which song or podcast is currently playing and which ones are next. It is also possible to remove or skip numbers from the queue. Previously, TV users could only see the next song, and not the entire queue.

In addition, a dark mode has been added, where a ‘minimal amount’ of UI elements are shown on the screen, and the rest are dimmed. Finally, the ability to switch between profiles has been made easier. Users can now use a different account by clicking on their account image. The new interface will be rolled out immediately to all users. Spotify already updated the desktop version in July.
