SOTI announces updates to the SOTI ONE platform. The company says it is implementing the most important update to SOTI XSight. This monitoring and data platform will have the Live View function, to monitor company devices in real-time during movements.

SOTI ONE, a total solution for managing corporate devices, collecting data from these devices and creating new applications, is ready for a new release. It will demonstrate during SOTI SYNC 23, in Munich updates for XSight, MobiControl and Snap.

LiveView

Most of the attention during the September 27 keynote will go to the update for SOTI XSight. The function makes it possible to obtain real-time insights into company devices and combines this data with information about the business processes. The data also includes the current position of a device, making it possible to monitor the movement of, for example, a parcel deliverer. Other available data are the signal strength and speed of the movement.

The function can also be used for devices that do not leave the company. In this situation, Live View is useful if an incident occurs that causes production loss. If the IT service does not have time immediately during the incident or the IT department is only notified once the incident has already been resolved, it is possible to analyze the event better by going back in time to the stored data.

Finally, SOTI integrates Snap to gain in-depth insights from the data platform. This application serves simplified app development through a drag-and-drop interface. Apps created via the platform can forward data to Live View.

Windows integrates into MobiControl and XSight

The novelties for XSight don’t stop there. All functions from the data platform will be available on Windows. Company devices can be further linked to MobiControl, a platform to monitor the operation and use of the device, and the registration of new devices is now possible via Microsoft Azure AD. This solution will also be available to connect Android, iOS and MacOS devices.

Once the device has been registered, logging in can now be done via the Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions Microsoft Entra ID Shared Device Mode, Imprivata Mobile Device Access and SOTI Mobile SSO. There will also be support for Shared iPad for Business, these solutions make it easier to log in to devices that are shared by different employees.
