Sony is introducing two new audio products for use with the PlayStation 5. The Pulse Elite is a wireless headset and the Pulse Explore is a set of wireless earbuds. Both devices support PlayStation Link, a new technology for wireless audio.

The Sony Pulse Elite is a high-end wireless headset, the manufacturer reports in a blog post. According to Sony, the device has ‘AI-enhanced noise rejection’, which can filter background noise. The device also has a retractable microphone and comes with a charging dock. The Pulse Explore, in turn, is a set of wireless earplugs. These get two microphones, also offer noise cancellation and also come with a charging case. Both the Elite headset and the Explore earbuds get planar magnetic drivers.

Both devices also support PlayStation Link. That is a new audio standard from Sony. According to the manufacturer, PS Link offers lossless audio with low latency. To use the stand, users must plug an included USB adapter into their PlayStation console. The company also makes a PlayStation Link adapter available for PCs and Macs, although that must be purchased separately. The Pulse Elite and Explore can be connected simultaneously to a PlayStation Link device and a Bluetooth device such as a smartphone.

Sony previously confirmed that it was working on wireless earbuds for the PS5, but shared few details at the time. The Pulse Elite had not yet been announced. That headset will cost 150 euros. The Explore earplugs have a recommended retail price of 220 euros. However, Sony does not report when the two audio devices will be released. In addition to announcing the two Pulse variants, Sony also announced the suggested retail price of the PlayStation Portal streaming handheld on Wednesday afternoon.
