Software update: Zoom Player 3.10 beta 1

Spread the love

Version 3.10 beta 1 of Zoom Player was recently released. This is a multi-media player in addition, the Professional version offers support for playing DVDs with various extensive options. You can read the complete changelog here after reading, the release notes tell us the following:

Tons of new features, fixes and changes. Make sure to check out the customized media playback interface on the Professional version. Using this interface, you can play back additional media files (like MPEG2 transport) without any specilized graph.

The interface may be a bit intimidating. Most of it doesn’t require any tweaking other than selecting a filter profile for each file format (selecting a profile that matches the filters you have installed). Messing with subtypes and the lot is for more experienced users… I may hide this stuff under an “advanced” button within the editors later on.

Oh, and for you experts out there, while the profiles I’ve created play every media file on my system, I’m sure there are some more obscure or less-used formats which I’ve missed, so if you can create these profiles and post them here, I’ll add them to the list so that the final version would be more complete.[break]Zoom Player is available in two different flavors:
