Download WinRAR 6.22

RAR Labs has released version 6.22 of its archivers RAR and WinRAR. These popular compression tools are available for various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS. The programs can handle the most common formats – including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and z – have a skinnable interface, and support for Zip64 and multivolume cab -files. The following issues have been resolved in this release:

Bugs fixed:

• Extracting individual files from compact archives created by RAR versions older than 2.0 may not be possible to extract in WinRAR 6.20 and 6.21. It had no effect on unpacking the entire archive, which performed correctly;
• Files in Unix ARJ archives could be incorrectly displayed as folders in the file list in WinRAR;
• The extraction option “Show files in Explorer” was ignored if the option “When done: Close WinRAR” was also set and the archive was opened in WinRAR before unpacking;
• The file size value in the internal viewer status bar did not include the byte order mask field, causing a smaller than actual size to be displayed for Unicode files.
