Software Update: WinRAR 3.50 beta 6

The sixth beta release of version 3.50 of WinRAR can now be downloaded from the RARLabs website. This program can handle the most common archive formats, including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and z. Version 3.50 adds several new features, such as a skinnable interface (see screenshot), support for Zip64 (extract only) and multivolume CAB files. The beta 6 changelog shows the following two changes:

• Numerous fixes in Windows x64 context menu support.
• If any other software is already associated with JAR files, WinRAR installer turns off the default state of “Associate WinRAR with JAR” option.
