Download Wine 0.9.58

Earlier this week, the developers of Wine announced that the 1.0 version of Wine will be released on June 6. However, it is not that far yet and yesterday version 0.9.58 of Wine was released. With the help of Wine it is possible to run DOS and Windows programs on Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X, among others. Wine is maintained by a large group of enthusiastic developers and instead of releasing new releases when new features are added. have been added to the software, it has been decided to release a new build every two weeks. More information about Wine can be found in this FAQ are being found. Recently, the release notes also include a list of issues that have been fixed since the previous version. Below is that list plus the changelog:

What’s new in this release:

• The default version is now Windows XP.
• Many rich edit improvements.
• Beginning of jscript dll support.
